San Luis Obispo County Parks offers surprisingly well-appointed facilities whether you are an RV camper or a rugged individual seeking solitude in our beautiful central coast wildland environment. We offer a full range of recreational opportunities at our parks that will satisfy the need to “recreate yourself.” Click on the park names below to find out more.

  • Tent camping at El Chorro Regional Park Campground
    El Chorro Regional Park & Campground
    Located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay use El Chorro as your personal base camp to explore the Central Coast
  • Lopez Lake Recreation Area
    There are over 350 campsites to choose from. Many overlook the lake, and others are nestled amongst picturesque oaks. There are primitive, electrical and full hook-up campsites available. Hot shower facilities are at several campgrounds. Camping reservations can be made up to one year in advance. Coin operated shower facilities are available.
  • Coastal Dunes RV Park and Campground
    Coastal Dunes RV Park & Campground
    We look forward to providing recreation and services for those seeking a new adventure in RV camping. The park is conveniently located next to the Grover Beach Amtrak Station
  • Campsite at Oceano Campground
    Oceano Park and Campground
    Oceano Campground has 22 campsites and each site can accommodate 4 - 6 people with either one R.V. or a couple of tents. A few sites can accommodate a R.V. up to 40 feet. Each site is equipped with full hook-ups (electricity, sewer, and water) and showers are available.
  • Santa Margarita Lake
    Santa Margarita Lake Recreation Area
    There are 60 primitive campsites (no hook-ups) and reservations can be made up to one year in advance. Campsites are located in the Coyote, Roadrunner, Grey Pine, and Osprey campgrounds The Sapwi and Khus campgrounds are primitive boat-in sites that can be reserved by individuals or groups
