Ranger Led Interpretive Hike – Explore the Creek Hike with Ranger Sarah

<<Back to Events Calendar

Did you know that San Luis Creek starts in the Santa Lucia Mountains above San Luis Obispo? Do you know how many native fish species live here?  Come hike the Bob Jones Trail with Ranger Sarah and hear natural and historical information about our beautiful San Luis Creek. Ranger Sarah plans to bring a small specimen capture tank so you can see some of the tiniest inhabitants of San Luis Creek, such as Scuds and Stickleback fish!  She will also discuss other aquatic life that makes San Luis Creek it’s home. Meet next to the Ontario Road parking lot restroom building. We may hike to the See Canyon Creek Bridge and back (about 2.0 miles). Wear comfortable shoes, appropriate clothing for the weather and bring water. Rain cancels. We hope to see you there!
